Genesis chapter forty-three verses seventeen-eighteenth.

When Joseph’s brothers arrived at his house, they were brought into the house by Joseph himself. They were afraid and thought they were in trouble because of the money that had been returned to their sacks on their previous visit. They approached the steward of Joseph’s house and told him about the situation. The steward reassured them and brought Simeon out to them. Then Joseph came home and they presented him with the gifts they had brought from Canaan. They bowed down before him and Joseph asked about their father, showing concern for his well-being. The brothers were overcome with emotion at Joseph’s kindness towards them, not realizing that he was their long-lost brother. Joseph then told them to prepare for a meal with him at noon. This passage highlights Joseph’s compassion and forgiveness towards his brothers, despite the wrongs they had done to him in the past.
