Genesis Chapter 43 Verse 14 King James

And God Almighty give you mercy before the man, that he may send away your other brother, and Benjamin. If I be bereaved of my children, I am bereaved.

In this verse, Jacob is speaking to his sons, imploring them to go back to Egypt to buy grain, even though they had been warned not to return without their younger brother, Benjamin. Jacob expresses his fear and concern, admitting that he will be devastated if anything were to happen to his sons. However, he ultimately puts his faith in God, acknowledging His power and sovereignty.

This passage serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of trust and faith in God during times of uncertainty and fear. Jacob’s willingness to surrender his fears and worries to God showcases his deep faith and reliance on Him. As believers, we are also called to trust in God’s plans and timing, knowing that He is in control of all situations. This verse encourages us to rest in God’s mercy and provision, even in the face of adversity.
