In 1889, a precocious 2-year-old named Marcel had the opportunity to visit Vincent van Gogh in Arles. Vincent, known for his vibrant and expressive paintings, was intrigued by the young child’s curiosity and energy.

Marcel, with his wide eyes and innocent smile, roamed around Vincent’s studio, touching brushes and admiring the colorful works on the walls. Vincent, delighted by Marcel’s presence, showed him how he mixed colors and talked to him about his artistic process.

Despite his young age, Marcel seemed to understand and appreciate Vincent’s passion for art. His giggles and claps filled the room as Vincent demonstrated his techniques. The artist was captivated by Marcel’s infectious joy and saw a spark of creativity in the child’s eyes.

As Marcel bid farewell to Vincent that day, the artist couldn’t help but feel a sense of hope for the future. Perhaps, this encounter with the precocious 2-year-old would inspire Marcel to follow his own artistic path one day.
