Tired heavenly being

The angel sat hunched over on a weathered bench, her once brilliant wings now tattered and grimy. Her golden halo hung lopsided above her head, dulled by years of neglect. She watched the bustling city around her with weary eyes, her face etched with lines of pain and sorrow.

Once, she had been a beacon of light and hope, bringing comfort to those in need. But now, she felt like an outcast, forgotten by the world she had once protected. Her powers had faded, her strength drained. She longed for the days when she could soar through the clouds, spreading love and joy wherever she went.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow across the city, a young girl approached the angel. She hesitated for a moment, unsure of what to say. But then, she smiled and reached out a hand to the angel.

“Hello,” the girl said softly. “I see you. And I believe in you.”

Tears welled in the angel’s eyes as she looked up at the girl. It was a small gesture, but it rekindled a spark of hope deep within her. Maybe, just maybe, she wasn’t forgotten after all. And with that glimmer of hope, the worn-out angel found the strength to spread her wings once more, ready to soar into the sky and bring light back into the world.
