Therizinosaurus was a large herbivorous dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 70 million years ago. It was known for its long neck, small head, and massive claws on its hands, which were some of the longest claws of any dinosaur species. These claws could grow up to three feet in length and were likely used for defense against predators or for gathering food.

Despite its intimidating appearance, Therizinosaurus was actually a peaceful herbivore that spent its days browsing on plants and trees. Its long neck allowed it to reach high into the canopy to access leaves and branches that other dinosaurs could not reach. This unique feeding behavior set Therizinosaurus apart from other herbivorous dinosaurs of its time.

Although much is still unknown about Therizinosaurus, its distinctive features and large size make it a fascinating subject of study for paleontologists. Its massive claws and unusual anatomy have intrigued scientists for decades, prompting further research and speculation about its behavior and evolutionary history. The discovery of Therizinosaurus has added another layer of complexity to our understanding of the diversity of dinosaurs that once roamed the Earth.
