In Genesis 21:11-12 in the King James Version of the Bible, the Lord speaks to Abraham concerning his wife Sarah and their son Isaac. In verse 11, the Lord tells Abraham not to be troubled by Sarah’s demand to send away Hagar and Ishmael, as it is through Isaac that his descendants will be called. This shows the importance of Isaac as the chosen child of promise, through whom the covenant between God and Abraham will continue.

In verse 12, the Lord reassures Abraham that He will make Ishmael into a great nation as well, because he is also Abraham’s seed. This gesture of mercy from the Lord emphasizes His love and care for all of Abraham’s children, despite the circumstances of their birth.

Overall, these verses highlight the faithfulness and sovereignty of God in fulfilling His promises to Abraham and his descendants, and demonstrate His compassion and provision for all of their needs.
