Genesis Forty-Three One-Two KJV

In Genesis 43:1-2 of the King James Version, we find the story of Jacob sending his sons back to Egypt to buy more food during the famine. Jacob initially hesitates to send Benjamin, his youngest son, with them because he fears something may happen to him. However, as the famine continues and their food supply dwindles, Jacob realizes they have no other choice but to return to Egypt.

This passage highlights Jacob’s struggle with letting go of Benjamin, whom he holds dear to his heart after losing his beloved son Joseph. It also showcases the hardship his family faces during the famine and the difficult decisions they must make in order to survive. Ultimately, Jacob’s faith in God’s provision drives him to send his sons back to Egypt, knowing that it is their only hope for sustenance in this time of great need.
