Four verses in Numbers chapter four

In the book of Numbers, chapter 4, verses 1-4 in the New Living Translation, the Lord speaks to Moses and Aaron giving them specific instructions regarding the responsibilities of the Kohathite clan in the Tabernacle. The Lord instructs that only the men between the ages of 30 and 50 shall be responsible for the care and transportation of the sacred objects within the Tabernacle. These objects include the most holy items such as the Ark of the Covenant, the table for the Bread of Presence, the lampstand, the altars, and the utensils used for the services. The Lord emphasizes that these sacred items are not to be touched by anyone other than the Kohathites, or they will face death. Furthermore, the Lord designates Eleazar, the son of Aaron, to oversee and guide the Kohathites in their duties, ensuring that they are carried out in a manner that is pleasing to the Lord. This passage highlights the importance of respecting and honoring the holiness of God’s presence in the Tabernacle, and the seriousness of the responsibilities given to the Kohathite clan.
