Marilyn Monroe, born Norma Jeane Mortenson on June 1, 1926, was an iconic American actress, model, and singer. She rose to fame in the 1950s as a sex symbol and became one of the most popular Hollywood stars of her time.

Monroe’s career included roles in films such as “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes,” “The Seven Year Itch,” and “Some Like It Hot,” which showcased her comedic talent and charm. Her sultry beauty and captivating presence on screen made her a beloved figure in entertainment.

However, behind the glamorous facade, Monroe struggled with personal demons, including mental health issues and a tumultuous personal life. Despite achieving immense success in her career, she battled with self-esteem and relied on alcohol and prescription medication to cope.

Tragically, Monroe’s life was cut short when she died of a drug overdose on August 4, 1962 at the young age of 36. Her untimely death only added to her mystique and solidified her status as a cultural icon whose legacy continues to endure decades later.
