Now his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand. And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.
In these verses, we see the favor of God upon Joseph. Even in the midst of being sold into slavery by his own brothers, Joseph remained faithful and obedient to God. The Lord was with him, guiding and blessing him in everything he did.
Joseph’s faithfulness did not go unnoticed by his master, Potiphar. He recognized the hand of the Lord upon Joseph and elevated him to a position of authority and trust in his household. Joseph’s integrity and diligence earned him favor and promotion, ultimately leading him to become the overseer of Potiphar’s entire household.
This story serves as a powerful reminder of the faithfulness of God and the importance of living a life of integrity and obedience, even in difficult circumstances. Just as the Lord was with Joseph, He is with us, guiding and blessing us when we remain faithful to Him.
